| PANGAEA TV - Digital production and Avid post. Karl Lear has been filming and editing TV commercials, promo’s, documentaries for broadcast and corporate projects for 6 years, home and overseas. He made his debut directing and co-producing ‘Better Days’, one of the pioneering films of the digital format. Entered into the Edinburgh Film Festival in 1997 it went on to receive critical acclaim in the national press. His work has taken him worldwide working on commercials, corporate communication projects, features and documentaries. Karl has a representation agreement with National Geographic, (Karl’s) ‘style is very strong and the quality of imagery offers great potential for the corporate and advertising markets’, as well as ITV and the BBC. As one of the first members of the Filmmakers for Conservation (FFC) Karl regularly initiates projects and drafts proposals based on conservation issues. He is currently honing his underwater cinematography skills. Karl is a very popular, enthusiastic and creative individual who takes pride in his work. Ambitious, and a keen team player he is always looking to learn and excel, regularly featured in trade press and praised for his work having achieved much despite his age of 30. Pangaea are now working on a documentary in Uganda featuring Jeremy Irons, and on a national TV weekly series. | |
