Worked in London Studios on a vast range of programmes but later became established on crews specialising in Drama, Light Entertainment, and Childrens programmes. Many were award winning such as Dennis Potters “Pennies From Heaven”, the “Shakespeare Series” (which took 3 years to make!), Cliff Richard, Tom Jones, Shirley Bassey, (etc) Spectaculars, “Top Of The Pops”, “Morcambe & Wise”, “Monty Python” (yes, I filmed theDead Parrot sketch!), “The Two Ronnies”, etc. & “Blue Peter”. During this period I had several 6 month attachments to BBC OB’s (Acton) covering Sport, Music, etc.. Detached to BBC Glasgow for the Drama Series “The Revenue Men”, and to BBC Scotland OB’s (2 years) (“White Heather Club” etc.). In all about 20 years in Drama, Light Entertainment, and OB’s, during an exciting period for the BBC. Returned to programme making after successfully completing the full lighting course (Studio and Location) and became PSC Lighting Cameraman at Lime Grove for the introduction of BBC Breakfastime (Features) in 1984 and the formation of the Topical Production Unit. This PSC operation developed into “Crewshop” where I worked on a diverse range of location programmes, for both BBC and External Producers (ITV, CH-4, & Independent). Also many Commercial & Corporate productions. The BBC closed Crewshop in 2002 and I now continue as a Freelance. As well as Broadcast I am available for private or corporate filming, with or without my own equipment (Dry Hire). I have also recently completed a recognized Hostile Environments Course. Also trained in HD video. More details are on my website: http://www.Beebcam.co.uk
