At the moment I am directing a short film called 'Crash Course' and producing a Northwestvision and Media Virgin Short 'O' with my company Wright Walker Productions
As a Media Freelancer I have gained experience as an Director, Production Assistant and Radio Presenter amongst other roles. If you want someone who can multi-task on set and delegate (my calls are almost legendary - I can make dogs stop barking!) then I'm the girl for you. Currently I am developing a number of shorts to make during late 2008 after 'Crash Course' but I am also keen to take on more film crew work as well.I am mainly based in the North of England from the Scottish Borders to Manchester and hold a clean full UK driving licence although I am very happy to travel for work anywhere in the UK and can easily hop over to the Isle of Man.

I started working on 'Frozen' as a Runner Trainee but I was quickly promoted to 3rd AD. My main duties included transporting actors and crew to and from set, doing set calls and organising extras. I also made sure everyone had access to refreshments and communicated with the production office on behalf of the set. I adapted quickly to the long days and settled quickly into my role. Over time my confidence grew and by the end of shooting, I felt comfortable delegating and communicating with the different heads of department.
In December 2005 I worked as the 1st AD on the short 'A Bit On The Side' which was directed by BAFTA award winner Steve Sullivan. The role gave me more responsiblility in writing call sheets and delegation. The film renewed my interest in making my own films as a writer and director and introduced me to other creative women in Cumbria.
I worked on the Renee Zellwegger feature 'Miss Potter' which is based on the life of Beatrix Potter in the directing/locations department. The role offered more hands on work in the organising and movement of a large cast and crew and gave me more confidence in working with big name actors, directors and producers.
