Andrew Swann

Animator, Assistant Director, Camera Operator, Co-Producer, Director, Editor, Lighting Camera, Sound Designer, Sound Editor, Vision Mixer
About:
I am currently working full time as a multi-skilled technical operator for BBC regional news. Directing, vision mixing, graphic design, editing, camera operations, sound mixing and media management are just some of the skills I employ on a regular basis. I also produce short drama films and theatrical ventures in my downtime.
After completing my degree in 2001 I spent 14 months working as a sound designer and editor on a range of science fiction audio dramas. I began my career with the BBC simulataneously, working in local radio and eventually moving up through the ranks to senior technical operator for 'South East Today' - the BBC's regional TV news programme for Kent and Sussex.
During that time I also worked on a number of one-off projects where I employed my skills designing motion & print graphics, shooting, editing & grading footage and producing & directing a variety of short films.
I'm an incredibly flexible, efficient and focussed practitioner and because I have experience in many different areas of television, radio and theatre production I'm able to lead and work within a team to get a well polished end product.
