About:
|
Husam, Also known as Sam, is an award-winning director, screenwriter and publisher. His short comedy "Pleasure Marriage" was nominated for the Best Short film at Hawaii International Film Festival 2006. His script "The General's Son" was a top finalist at several screenwriting competitions including the Academy Nicholl Fellowship 2009.
In the fall of 2009, he was selected into the Film Independent's Project Involve in LA, which was sponsored by NBC/Universal, Banana Republic and Vanity Fair.
He is also a film critic and reporter. He has covered major film events (Oscars and major film festivals) and interviewed Hollywood filmmakers and stars. His articles are published in several magazines and newspapers, including UKscreen and Al Quds Elarabi. He was nominated for the Best publisher by "The New Statement" magazine and won the "Fringe Report" best publisher award. In 2008, he was accredited a membership at the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA).
