Hello to whoever is reading this. My name is Jamie Aylard and i am 24 years old. I graduated from staffordshire university last year and now work as a freelance 3d sculptor and sign maker, i also work at Milton Keynes Theatre. I am an enthusiastic pleasant personality, I have lots of physical and mental energy which i use to be as creative as possible. I have an uncontrollable passion for visual language and my creativity propels my need to become a professional within an artistic career. When working on creative projects I am always very determined to produce the highest quality of work. I strive to gain new knowledge to adapt my capabilities. I enjoy working both on my own and in a group. When working in-group situations I am a very approachable.

I have extensive training in many technical artistic, construction processes. I also have versatile computer knowledge and a love for making and problem solving. Recent work has included freelance sculpting for special events held at “Revolution” vodka bar. Projects have ranged from creating large three-dimensional signs to three-dimensional suspended sculptures promoting popular club nights. Projects have mainly been sculpted from expanded polystyrene using complex enlarging techniques in order to construct multiple reproductions. Mould making and preparation of moulds for casting plaster, plastics, concrete, microcrystalline wax, paraffin wax and ice (gel flex, vinyl, plastic and plaster casting, polystyrene sculpting)
Photographic experience of creating and processing photographic work, including digital photography and video. Knowledge in Set/studio lighting and animation.
Carpentry, metal work and plastic forming experience.
Good knowledge of Photoshop (and similar digital image software), quark express, premier and windows 98, 2000 and Xp software. As well as Mac software. Music software including Cubass, fruity loops, logic, sampling programs e.g. wave, sound forge.
I have had valuable experience preparing and constructing a large degree show exhibition that included using planning skills, time management and invigilating. I have also produced my own independent exhibitions and also collaborative shows with fellow students.

Interests
An ongoing interest of mine is playing music. I have been in several bands since the age of 11 and continue to progress with my song writing, guitar playing (and other musical instruments) and performance. I am currently playing with two different bands in my spare time. In the past 10 years I have recorded at several different recording studios, this experience has given me a broad knowledge of sound recording equipment (analogue and digital) and also performance equipment.
