Artist Statement
My work is often about some suggestion of my mental life, through a sophisticated portrayal of
the result of my personal life, its intensity, confronting huge difficulties.
Psychoanalytical reflections about our world and our species, seen with my eyes and experienced in my world
My work which consists by images, small video's based on the principle of repetition, almost a visual story. It is generally rather short but with an impact by its formulation, the black and white alternations, the coincidental rhythm of the body (Repetition). The cycle is lived here like an enclosure, a space without real openings. The possible swiftness of the mental sequence, for instance, can make the mental interruption less noticeable and thus enhance the feeling of its simultaneous occurrence with the external action. The orientation of the viewer can be helped by immediately recognizable familiar images before departure from 'reality' and immediately after return to it.

This video is about failure, about loving each other like in sexuality. An attempt to explore gender & sexuality which is often doomed to fail.

The world as a perpetual motion machine, while humanity is fading away. A constant repetition of images provokes a conflict situation. The maker conceived this work as an installation : two images projected on iron walls. In between a metal globe is turning around its axis.

3 channel video about the hidden pain caused by sexual disorders. Mixed images of people thinking, walken, doing the most ordinary things of life, while on the other screens their sexual pains are projected. Images and sound are contradictory. Happy music, sound of fireworks and people amusing themselves.

A single screen projection, originally made for the opening of a new art gallery.
Images of purification symbols : water, salt, fire mixed with images of people washing themselves in the sea. The video was projected on a dirty, cracked and damaged wall.

Personal imagery of being naked confronting old symbols of religions which are in constant evolution. The fish is still used a metaphor to communicate our faith to each other and to the world. Yet a shadow of doomsday is always present.

Video is in the middle of a documentary and narrative movie. It's about the existential fear of emptiness. A blue sky is nice and is usually experienced as a good thing. But on the other side, it's a opening to nothing, its too open, too empty, too plain. Images of skies mixed with conversations of a patient with his shrink.
