When starting at Red Collar Poductions I was fortunate enough to be given the freedom to experiment with different ideas. By learning a variety of compositing and effect techniques for different situations I always had an alternative solution if one method failed and through repetition and a natural creative flair I am able to work quickly on a tight deadline. I kept constant communication with the animators In order to solve a number of issues. I developed more realistic driving shots using separate background plates to create a natural scolling effect and composited the images using green screen technology. I replaced their existing methods of creating water using cling film with more realistic digital effects based on a combination of filming live action plates of moving water and using the distortion of the footage which was then used as an effect to acurately distort the perspex sets. The result is extremely realistic water which doesn’t look computer generated and doesn’t distract the viewer from the action of the scene. By keeping an open mind and working with a positive attitude that nothing is imposible, I have accomplished a consistent record of success.
