I am very interested in working in film, theatre or television production. I am a designer with a degree, which spans all aspects of design, focusing mostly on concept design and generating ideas.I left Napier University last year with a 2:1 degree in Interdisciplinary Design (Product Concept Design), and have since then spent my ‘year out’ traveling, gaining a qualification as a Snowboarding instructor and race coach in Alberta, Canada, which helped to improve my people skills greatly. I was placed in a position where I had to gain and build the confidence of others. I then worked in Philadelphia, USA, in building and construction, in which I was involved in many building projects where I learnt the skills of carpentry. Recently I worked my way down the west coast of France for some time, in a country where there was a language barrier and of course fantastic surfing.I am a highly motivated person, who enjoys a challenge. I am very practical and I enjoy problem solving, which has always been appreciated wherever I have worked, whether in a bar, on a building sight or on the ski slopes.I am now seriously looking for work to jump-start my career and would be very interested to work inthe the film or television industry, of course, starting from the bottom, in any capacity necessary. Although I have no experience in the industry I would love to gain this knowledge, and how better to do so than to work my way into it. I also feel that with my design background and people skills I would be a good person to have on a live set environment.
