Lucy EYTE

Art Dept Assistant, Costume Designer, Production Assistant, Production buyer, Researcher
About:
I am a hard-working, enthusiastic and cheerful person seeking to concentrate on a career in the world of the arts. I have gained a lot of experience of working in wardrobe, mainly at Glyndebourne Opera House, as well as experience in stage management. I am diligent, passionate about my work, and thrive under pressure. My time at the University of St Andrews taught me the importance of research and reaching tight deadlines. My time of working in the theatre taught me the importance of being highly organised and calm at all times, even under periods of extreme pressure.

Other Skills:
The skills which I consider to be most relevant are to be: committed; conscientious; trustworthy, reliable; diligent; hardworker and quick to learn; creative; determined; patient; articulate and mature. I have a practical outlook on life, and love solving problems and organising things. I am never afraid of a challenge.

Additional Information

Theatre and film have always played an extremely important part in my life, from an early age, and my passion for it gets stronger as I get older instead of abating. During my time at college, I was Assistant Director of the Wardrobe Department and Wardrobe and Props Mistress for the college's production of 'Oh! What A Lovely War!'. As part of my Theatre Studies A-Level, I studied Costume and Set Design, for which I got 99. I made a Thirteenth-Century Japanese kimono for the character of Lady Nijo in Caryl Churchill's play, 'Top Girls'. I have been lucky to have been able to travel extensively over the world, which has broadened my horizons, making me more adept at adapting to new situations and meeting new people. I think that this was one of the most important things I have learnt so far in my life.
