Born with a pencil in my hand. Which I used to scam my way through school and college. I fell off the conveyor belt at the other end but still wasn't sure what I was going to do. I met a guy who was in television doing TV graphics, so I thought,'that's for me!' I worked for him for 5 years working on title sequences, animations and general graphics. I left then worked at Granada TV doing graphics for 15 years, working on programmes like World in Action, Prime Suspect, Cracker. In 2000 I designed and shot the new titles for Coronation Street. Laterly I became a sponsorship and commercials director within the department and designed and directed several pre-programme sponsorship campaigns for ITV.
Throughout I have always drawn cartoons and my own storyboards. I was heavily utilised to visualise 'stunt' sequences for dramas such as the car crash scene in 'Cold Feet'. Similarly working on Blue Murder, Vincent and The Last Train. Directed 2nd unit and SFX stuff for Peter Kay on 'Max & Paddy's road to nowhere'
I now work as a freelance dividing my time between directing and storyboarding.

Since leaving Granada in October 2004 I have worked on storyboarding for Postman Pat, Vincent, Blue Murder, The good Samaritan. I have directed the last 3 pop videos for Richard Hawley, DVD doc interviews with Paul Carrack, Errol Brown and The Dresden Dolls. I have also worked with 'The Chuckle Brothers' on their latest DVD filming their sketches. Produced a short film called 'Fizzy Days' Now working on the feature version. Summer 2007 Directed and produced 3 episodes for the second series of the BBC kids programme 'Prank Patrol.'
