Matthew Hardwick

Aerial Cameraman, Camera Operator, Crane Operator
About:
My name is Matt Hardwick and I have been working as a Jimmy Jib & Camera Operator since 1997, firstly staff and now freelance. Based in London, my work takes me to every corner of the UK, usually via a football ground or a racecourse!! My work to date has consisted of live multi-camera outside broadcasts, live and recorded studio work as well as single camera PSC shoots. I am able to supply and assemble any size Jimmy Jib to your specification.
As well as Jimmy Jibs, I can supply, operate and provide technical expertise to remote pan & tilt hotheads, gyro stabilised systems on tracking vehicles and helicopters, Polecams and multi-camera studio based Radamec systems. I also use manned cameras and am often found lurking behind a ‘big lens’ or a PSC camera. One of my major clients is Channel 4 Racing, where I work both on their racing coverage and their studio based ‘Morning Line’ programme. In addition, I have an excellent technical background, being experienced in vision engineering, G-Cam / D-Cam microwave link and racking systems, configuring subsidiary outside broadcast vehicles and working with all digital widescreen camera formats. I am reliable, conscientious and most of all professional in every aspect of my work.
