Edward Howard

Assistant Director, Assistant Editor, Colourist, DV Operator, DVD Author, Director, Editor, Runner, Showreel Producer
About:
I am experienced in both on and off-line editor looking to get into broadcast work. My interests are varied and broad from long form to short form I enjoy it all, though I would like to specialise in drama and documentary.
I am at present working as editor for Replay Media, producing corporate videos for clients such as Johnson and Johnson, Yamanouchi, Ciba Vision, Gilead Sciences and The Macular Disease Society. I am cutting using a mixture of Final Cut Pro 4.5 (HD) and Avid Express Pro depending on the job. The edit suite is uncompressed using the DeckLink Extreme card with both digital and analogue I/O. I am also responsible for all graphics work, MPEG encoding and DVD authoring.
Other credits I have are; last year I directed a music video for the ‘Naked Apes’ called ‘Extreme!’ This has been broadcasted on Yahoo! Videos, Scuzz and the Chart Channel. On top of this I have been working with Director Alex Shaida on his last two dramas, ‘Divine Blonde’ (10min) and ‘The Date’ (30min). In addition to this I have been working with the ‘Mad Count’ for the last two years on his series of videos of the same name (all feature length).
I have worked as a sales person/ support/ trainer for a company that sells editing systems and also supports them. I feel my experience here means that I can also support Final Cut Pro systems correctly and have knowledge of the best kit for each job.
I am available from Mid June but I can possibly start earlier if needed. I am also available for training on Final Cut Pro.
My show reel ready upon request.
