Themes: cityscape environment, criminal psyche, street wisdom, instincts, depravation, degradation, loss, false victory, betrayal, division, guilt, paranoia, mistrust, anger, solitude, isolation, sarcasm, absurdist, black humour, moments of fantasy. The 'look': Staircases, fire escapes, lamposts, dustbins, steam, yards and desolate sometimes derelict, damaged rooms. Bedsits, litter, secondhand, run down side streets, arches, lofts, yards, basements. Camera style and form: Wide angles, long shots, jump cuts, low natural lighting, handheld steadi-cam, eye-level angles, Also building up an extensive library on film books, with approximately four hundred books for study & research purposes. There is also an honour to develop a rare books & written materials, film & art collectibles in a vast range of subjects concerning the performing arts, film, music & general antiques. As well as a keen interest in cataloguing the library of film books. The 'myspace' website is a work in progress, it serves the purpose of describing through the display of still images & subject material views, observations & thoughts about the types of themes that interest & effect his current film making needs. Additional Information
Having met & talked with the following influential & inspirational film cinema craftsmen who were kind to allow for a photo and autograph to be taken, these meetings left an indelible impression on me about cinema as a serious artform and that craftsmanship and experience is helpful from those involved on that front alone. Also strive to get the best from the productions, sending them compelted work wherever there may be an opportunity to get some recognition for all participants. Production thought out, near enough accurate to the original concept. Actors need bring only their talents & skills. The digital film work: 'Peace Portraits' has been allocated a small repeat screening slot to be exhibited along with other short filmmakers on the 'BBC' Big Screen (Bradford) from 29th May-10th June 2008. A surprisingly welcome addition, that has indeed humbled and given him re-strengthened belief in the artistic input and hardwork over the years of developing work. Lastly, getting to meet film directors and acquiring various printed work autographed and supportive photographs from the following major film makers. The Brits: Richard Attenborough, Jack Cardiff, Freddie Francis, Ken Loach, Mike Figgis, Mike Hodges, Alex Cox, Peter Yates, John Glen, Guy Hamilton, The Yanks: Ray Harryhausen. The 'Italians': Bernardo Bertolucci. The following are always a primary influences & inspiration: S. Ray, Scorsese, Leone, De Palma, M. Mann, Kubrick. Secondary influence/inspiration: J.
