Based in London, Nick specialises in sound design and sound editing for film, television, and digital media. Since graduating with distinction from the National Film and Television School (NFTS) in December 2005, he has worked on a number of fiction, documentary, and animation projects, both for broadcast, DVD and web release. Clients include ITV Meridian, MTV, Al Jazeera International, Puma, Greenpeace and many more.
Prior to film school Nick forged a career as a freelance sound designer and composer following an undergraduate degree in Electronic Engineering and Music Technology Systems from the University of York in 1998. His time at the NFTS allowed for a deeper exploration of the aesthetics and creative sensitivities of narrative film-making and a training in the practical aspects and industry practices of larger scale feature film projects.
Nick is currently working as supervising sound editor on a feature due for release in late 2007, and in discussion with another production company regarding a sound supervising role on a feature due to start in the latter part of 2007.
