“Ageing hippy classic rock jock with an ability to spout bull for hours” That is how I was described by an American studio Manager in sunny California one day after one of my shows. Not very flattering but I suppose at the time it was fairly accurate. These days though I spend a lot more time twiddling the knobs, making radio programmes and teaching Sound engineering than presenting. To be honest I kind of like it better this way (Not that I would turn down a show if offered). Up until November 2005 I was head of radio for Reading College, but now take on private tuition for suitable candidates. |
