Raja Dey started as a freelance cinematographer and documentary filmmaker based in Kolkata, India. As a cameraman his experience ranges beyond documentaries and into narrative fiction, corporate video, commercials, and music videos. Raja Has been faculty members and courses coordinator at Chitrabani (www.chitrabani.com) since 2002, the social communications centre founded by Fr. Gaston Roberge, eminent film scholar and by Mr. Satyajit Ray, world-renowned filmmaker. Raja also, worked as Cinematographer and Producer with Francisco Bello, for the 2008 Oscar nominated, Film Salim Baba, Directed by Tim Sternberg. Very recently, Raja made his directing debute with a docudrama on the subject of female infanticide in rural India the Film named as "Tamanna" |
