Sam started out as a theatre director and bit part actor but now primarily writes for Film, TV, Stage and Radio.
Sam also consults on feature scripts-Currently for New Zealand based Little Ed Films-and teaches screenwriting. He has been visiting screenwriting lecturer at the International Film School of Wales, the European Film College in Denmark and the De Montfort University. He runs filmmaker workshops and assesses funding applications for ScreenSouth and pitching workshops for ScreenYorkshire and the LSC. He organized two major drama TV writing laboratories for BBC Wales and has has been a TAPS screenwriting tutor since the organization began. He has also run a wide range of Independent screenwriting workshops for various organizations and many one to one clinics for individuals.
