I am currently freelance as a shooting AP and vision mixer/director. I have strong DV & DSR 570 camera skills, with a tape-to-tape and non-linear editing background and 4 years studio direction/vision mixing experience including terrestrial broadcasters and independent production. I have a keen eye for visuals coupled with solid grammatical knowledge and story-telling skills having worked in developing human interest stories from 3min to 30mins, constructing and shooting sequences and editing on quick turnarounds.
I’ve constructed news items, live music performance, cooking demonstrations, documentary/observational and quiz & sport programmes and have experience working for long periods of tme on live programming that requires high levels of concentration, especially in my vision mixing work, which I enjoy as it provides an opportunity to combine knowledge of camera and editing skills under one roof. I consider myself to be highly adaptable and multi-skilled on location or in the studio.
I am easy to work with and I always try to bring a pleasant, common sense attitude with the ability to adapt to various types of programming and approaches. I am always keen to develop my skills and visual story-telling in camera-work and vision-mixing and have a variety of interests and passions outside of work.
