Hi , I am a proffessional make-up artist based in west london. I have been working for 15 years an most of my work is in wedding make up and fashion make overs. I have also worked on pop promos and videos and I style bands for photoshoots. Although I do bridal, I am very flexible and fashion forward. I make it my job to keep up to scratch with trends and the latest looks in make up. I am very good at recreating period looks as this is part of my passion! I taught myself and I have studied it privatlely for years and read on all eras so whether you need an authentic 1960s look, or an edwardian wench I can be relied on to conjour the look! I can also do 'blood work' and really enjoy this part of the business! I can work with latex and waxes and produce lots of different effects. I understand lighting for photographic make-ups of all kinds and also for the camera...i know that what looks like heavy make up in daylight will be washed out under the lens.... I have had a break for a few years due to having children , but am now looking to get back into freelance work. Sometimes I am willing to work for limited budgets so as to build up my portfolio, so dont be shy, just ask..I will consider most things! I can travel all over london and although I dont drive I can and do travel outside of london on occassions. I have my own comprehensive kit and a keen eye. With the styling I specialise in vintage clothes, which is my passion. I have bought and sold extensively over the years and have a good knowledge of all vintage periods from Edwardian to the 1980s. I also source pieces and put together looks by knowing what works. I also have a lot of pieces myself, or if I havent got what you need then I have very good contacts in the industry. I am also happy to help with portfolios for actors/models ect, either in character or plain headshots. I would be happy to have some of the photographs in return for payment too! ( I have contacts with some very good photographers too!) |
