Chris Wright

Writer
About:
i've been writing for 3 years. In June and July of 2000 I wrote a short sketch called “gorilla, Guerrilla”, which later became the opening scene of “Have a nice life”. Later that year I sent “Gorilla, Guerrilla” to The Rocliffe Forum, a workshop/showcase for new writers to see and hear their scripts worked on by directors and actors. It was accepted and in January of 2001 my sketch was used in the Forum. Mark Street, of From the Street productions, was the director who worked on my script that night. After meeting with Mark Street he decided to make “Have a nice life” his next film project. After many rewrites we started auditions and in late August of 2001 we started shooting on “Have a nice life”. During the week long shoot I took the roles of co-producer and runner.I am, at present, working on other writing projects for short film, comedy sketches, and a feature length film. The main subject of my writing is human relationships and their futility. in my writing i am striving for the reality of the spontanious moment.
