Started in the fall of 1997 without Rob. Formed through Liverpool University Band Society and ended up being the Funkiest band in Liverpool. Early 1998, Rob joined to add some Funky ass synth.From there it was Funk.All the members are from Planet F.U.N.K., but pretend to be from Tellus. Dan was placed in Norway and the others in England.

Liberty released their first single Who Is She back in 1992 and were described by Radio One as "one of the funkiest bands in the UK". They have continued releasing and recording tracks to date. More recently they fought a High Court name battle and won against the band now called Liberty X and Branson's V2 label. They also won Capital Radio/Coca Cola Band of the Year back in 93.
