WHO MADE IT? | Director: Stephen Surjik Cast: Carmen Electra, Tom Riley, Tom Burke, Michelle Ryan, Mackenzie Crook and Eddie Marsan | WHAT'S IT ABOUT? | Film students Joe Clark (Tom Riley) and his best friend Baggy (Tom Burke) have the perfect movie script The Love Storm. Frustrated by their arty and pretentious teacher (Mackenzie Crook) they go to London to get it made. The pair become involved with a shady producer (Eddie Marsan) who promises to finance it providing they add scenes of an adult nature and if they can get Candy Fiveways (Carmen Electra) to be in it. The pair decide to make a porn film with an intelligent plot that will rock the film world. | WHAT'S IT LIKE? | Described as the British American Pie this has a larger slice of heart and soul and less gross out moments. Set in Leatherhead it has the look and feel of a very typically British comedy but starring former Baywatch babe Carmen Electra. The two leading young men are a joy to watch as the pair of film geeks who get in well over their heads. Jimmy Carr is surprisingly entertaining as the video store manager who gives Baggy a crash course in erotica while Mackenzie Crook is just annoying as their pretentiously arty film teacher. Carmen Electra provides the glamour as the not so dumb blonde porn star who is a huge film buff. A modern day take on the Carry On series it's smutty and naughty (includes a lesbian scene and what not to do with a pear) but contains no porn. It's not a film that is going to rock the British film industry but it will leave you with a smile on your face. | Opens 23 March 2007
