Hello I am a costume designer and creator for Victorian period costumes.We hand make victorian costumes and source genuine articles for remake and for patterns to create reproductions. We have recently finished a project with London Photographer Lorna Seigal on a project themed around "a Victorian Circus" a selection of 18 works that are in the process of being turned into a book aimed at children and adults alike. We are currently working on a national publication work of Alice in wonderland,and other story book characters including Red Riding Hood in alternative styles! We cater for large or small productions and have a wealth of knowledge of the Victorian era costuming. I am number one for large fairs and festivals all around the UK during the year from the Lakes to London providing costumes for the general public.Many of our costumes have won acclaim for those who have worn them and gained me a good reputation for accuracy and well cut garments. Originally studying in Hotel & Catering I decided to change direction 6 years ago and move into costumes for the Victorian eraas this had always been a fasinating interest. Having recently expanded the collection to over 2,000 individual items I expect good things from 2006 and to move more into television work and film. |
