The notice boards and mailing lists are a free service of UK Screen. They provide a forum for both members and non-members to communicate together. The purpose of the forum is to promote discussion, advertise jobs, distribute announcements, and address queries. Commercial advertising and self promotion is only permitted for UK Screen premium level members and above. Potential advertisers should consult our advertising page for a list of advertising rates and options. A detailed set of posting guidelines can be found below. Please read these carefully before posting on any forum. There are five separate forums, and the purpose of each is outlined briefly below:

• Casting board - for topics relevant to casting (actors, actresses, etc.)
• Crewing board - for topics relevant to crewing (directors, editors, etc.)
• Film board - for topic relevant to the production and dissemination of films.
• Music board - for topics relevant to the production and dissemination of music.
• General board - for all other topics (e.g. queries about the site itself).

The following guidelines and provisions are intended to provide guidance on what is acceptable content for the forums. If you are in any doubt, please contact us before posting your message.

• All messages should be presented in a courteous and professional manner.
• Only UKscreen premium members and above are allowed to promote their services or talent on the Forum.
• When replying to job advert postings, members should reply directly to the author, not to the forum, unless the reply contains something of public interest.
• Questions which are already answered are not allowed. Use the search function.
• The content of messages should relate to the topic of the forum as described above.
• Messages should not contain offensive or profane language, or contain hateful, racially or ethnically objectionable content.
• Users should not intentionally post any misleading or erroneous information.
• A user should not impersonate another user.
• Users should not engage in disruptive activity such as sending multiple messages in an effort to monopolise the forum or cross posting to multiple forums.
• Users should post any disagreements or criticisms in a constructive manner.
• Users should respect the rights for others to have different opinions.
• For members whose membership level is less than premium, commerical advertising is permitted on the noticeboard ONLY if the services provided are free, non-profit and directly relevant to the forum in question. All types of commercial advertising are permitted for premium level members and above.
• Advertising and solicitation which is irrelevant the the forum in question (i.e. spam) will not be tolerated.
• Users are not allowed to make announcements about their web sites on the forum.
• Looking-for-agents messages are not allowed. Use UKscreen agents directory for this purpose.
• If you break any of the above guildlines, you may be banned from future use of the forums.

The real-time nature of the forums makes it impossible for UK Screen to review messages or confirm the validity of information posted. However, UK Screen closely monitors the content of the forum and will take action if any of the guidelines are violated. UK Screen reserves the right to reproduce, edit, remove, or distribute any post contained within.

Although UK Screen does not and cannot review all messages posted and is not responsible for the content of any of these messages, we reserve the right to delete any message for any or no reason whatsoever. You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages, and you agree to indemnity and hold harmless UK Screen and their agents with respect to any claim based upon transmission of your message.

We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message. Messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of UK Screen or any entity associated with the UK Screen. Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is advised to contact us immediately. We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and we will make every effort to do so promptly.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use the forum to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, hateful, harassing, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law. You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or by UK Screen. Additionally, you agree to consult and follow the general guidelines and provisions detailed above in good faith.
