Mark 'madfiddler' Knight. 34 years old, 28 of those have been playing. I am considered to be a good player/improviser in folk, punk and rock styles. I use 4, 5, 6 (fretted), and octave electric violins, I have a great effects system, with the normal distortions, choruses etc., but with more off the wall effects such as the Gibson Echoplex for looping and overdubbing live....Previous bands I've played in are - Tricks Upon Travellers (6 years), K-Passa (2 years), Blue Horses (2 years), and Silver Dogs. I've done session work for Divine Comedy, Bjorn Lynne, c64audio dot com, Pepe Delux (the Levis Twisty Jeans music), Massive Attack and most recently 4-4-2 (Euro 2004 song).
I'm also the demonstrator for Bridge Electric, who make my violins and I'm looking for good, well paid sessions and dep work. Longer term performance and touring is preferable to recording.
Seperately, I have been working in the video games industry for the past 15 years. Roles have been composer, sound designer, and lead audio. In 2001 the audio team I was part of won a Bafta for best sound, with Theme Park World.
