About:
|
Half Empty Films was founded by Jonathan Farr and Richard Fisher in the autumn of 2002. It’s purpose then – as it remains today – was to prove to the world that it was possible to make enjoyable and thought provoking films without the luxuries of money or formal film school training. Jonathan and Richard were born in South London on either side of the end of the seventies and beginning of the eighties. They met at Harris City Technology College at the dawn of the nineties and discovered they had a shared taste in music, football, video games, political theory and alcoholism. As the nineties drew to a close they rented a flat in Poplar, East London, and spent two years watching ‘The Simpsons’ and very occasionally attending London Universities. Jon read Eastern European Studies at the School for Eastern European and Slovakian Studies, later doing a masters in Political Theory. Richard studied Medicine at The Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel. Jon is currently working as a government stooge at number 10 Downing Street. Richard is currently watching Crystal Palace Football Club struggle to survive in the premiership. In his spare time he works as a doctor.
