Richard Lewington is an upcoming actor adding to his credits of already being an established Director and Photographer. In 1994 and 1995 he was named BBC Photographer two consecutive years running where was presented his awards on the BBC Countryfile programme. His achievements were published in a variety of national press, most notably The Radio Times. In 1995 he was also named the Kodak Young Amateur Photographer of the Year which was awarded to him by The Mirror's Chief Photographer and Amateur Photographer Magazine columnist Mike Maloney. His other television credits include appearances on Simply the Best and Globo Loco both ITV shows, as well as the commercial for the Raindance Film Festival; The Shearing, which was shown in cinemas in the M25 catchment area in 2001. On film, Lewington has appeared in Embryonic Dreams, Mirror Image, Emotional Baggage, Front Life, The 12th Day, Cross Junction Minds and Essex Boys alongside Sean Bean. Richard also played the lead role in the music video for Classical Composer and Pianist Josh Winiberg's track Gaia taken from the album Silent Embrace released by Tomboy Music Group in March 2005. Richard's theatre credits include Albert make us laugh and West Side Story. Lewington has also directed and worked behind the scenes on a variety of independent and feature film, television and entertainment projects for companies such as the BBC, Channel 4, TK Maxx, Butlins Entertainment Resort and ITV Local to name a few. He also co-directed two episodes of soap opera Chalkhill Lives where he also played the part of Michael Chang. Richard trained at SEEVIC College and The Essex Academy of Dramatic Art. He is also the clubbing and gigs writer (Ricardo) for The Guide magazine which is published with The News newspaper every Friday. Richard can now be seen co-presenting Sub Virtual Generation on ITV, Sky, NTL, Telewest and Freeview alongside Lauren Zabiela from Autumn 2006.
