I changed direction with my life just over three years ago and went back to the media industry. The mundanity of the 9 to 5 got to me. I moved to Wales, studied for a year to obtain a Welsh Diploma in General studies, covering Theatre/Film/TV/Radio. Whilst at Coleg Harlech (a lovely place on the Mid Wales coast) I was elected Entertainments Manager and resident DJ (as I was the only one with loads of variety in my CD selection.) I also attached myself to the Theatre Technician to gain valuable hands on experience for the year. Upon moving to Aberystwyth I persuaded the Arts Centre and Theatre to give me 6 months hands on in the real world and was trusted with running a small round performance space. I have been learning the Industry for the last three years and have had some eye opening encounters. From being a Company Stage Manager a 1 man theatre show, to crewing for Uli Jon Roth and the Legends Of Rock and the 'mighty' Van Morrison.
l am now in the process of going self employed and want as much work as I can realisticallly handle.
