Emma Forman is a young singer songwriter based in Scotland. She was first noticed in Nov98 when she formed a rock band called Bad Karma. The band was well known, attracted a lot of attention from a few small labels and gigged regularly. After Bad Karma split up in the summer of 2001 she went on to perform in various other bands such The Awkwards and The Koshkas. In Aug 2001 Emma went to Glasgow where Chris Thomson ,from The Bathers, recorded her 9 track acoustic demo in his studio. Her first solo gig was on the 9th December 2001 at the loft where she supported Saint Maybe, Del Franklin and The Beaker People.Emma was the bassist in a indie/rock band called Piston Broke and played guitar in The Awkwards. She plans to record some new tracks and has been collaberating with some other singer songwriters/producers as well as working on new material of her own.One of her songs "Too Late" has been covered by singer/songwriter Barry Applin. The same song but Emma's own acoustic version of it will also feature in a short film called "Tinseltown" which is to be entered into BBC Talent and various Festivals. She recorded some live acoustic tracks and performed with The Deviadas and Baby Karma. Now she performs mainly solo or with her guitarist Dusty Valentino. In the past she has supported: Fish, Midge Ure, Frank Turner, Duke Special, Rose Kemp, The Grim Northern Social, Astrid Williamson, James Grant, The Wrigly Sisters, and many others. |
