1. What is The UKscreen Award?

   It's an annual prize of £1000 for the best production by a UKscreen member.

2. What are the rules for The UKscreen award?

   1. The production must be listed on UKscreen's screening section.
   2. The production must be completed in the current award year.
   3. All the productions from the current year will be automatically entered for the award.

3. How do you select the winner?

   There are two stages:
   1. Your production must be voted one of the top five scorers on the Ukscreen voting system.
   2. A panel of judges from the British Film industry will select the winner from the top five scorers.

4. How does the voting system works?

   1. To prevent fake votes, only votes of UKscreen members are counted.
   2. Only votes submitted before the last day of the award year (midnight at new year eve) will be counted.
   3. The final score will reflect the quality and popularity of the production. In other words, the film makers are rewarded for their talent and ability to promote their films. Therefore, the final score will be a multiplication of the number of voters by the average vote score. So if your production was voted by 10 UKscreen members and their average vote was 7.5 then the score will be 75.

5. Do I have to upload my production on The UKscreen server?

   No. You can link your media files from anywhere on the web. visit our Video FAQ for details.

6. When do you announce the winners?

   In February the following award year at an award ceremony, where all the nominated productions will be screened and then the winner will receive the award cheque.

7. What productions are allowed to enter?

   Short films, commercials, Music Videos, Animation.
