- Questions answered on this page:
- Why do I have to log into UK screen?
- Do I have to login every time I visit the site?
- What is my username?
- I've forgotten my password - how do I log-in?
- I just get an error message when I login.
- Why do I have to log into UK screen?
The advanced features of UK screen are only available
to registered members. When you register you
will be asked to supply a username and password for yourself. You
must supply this username and password to identify yourself when
accessing certain areas of the site, or updating your personal
details.
- Do I have to login every time I visit the site?
n option to remember your login details is shown when you login.
If you select this option, your login details will be stored on your
computer and used automatically whenever you visit the site. This
option should not be used if your computer is shared by many
people (e.g. in a University, Office, or Cybercafe).
- What is my username?
Your username is contained in the web link of your personal page.
When you access your personal page, the link shown at the top of the screen
will have the following form:
- http://www.ukscreen.com/[your directory]/[your username]
Where [your directory] is either cast, crew, agent, company, or
band, and [your username] is your UK screen username. If you
have forgotten the location of your personal page, simply use
the Search facility, shown on every page, and search for your full name.
- I've forgotten my password - how do I log-in?
If you have forgotten your password, you can have it emailed to you
by following
this link and entering your UK screen username.
If your email doesn't work anymore then you have to upgrade your membership, after which your password will be automatically sent to you by our system .
- I just get an error message when I login.
You have probably typed your password or username incorrectly. Your
password must be entered exactly as given when you registered (upper
and lower case do matter).
If you are sure that you are entering your details correctly, then
your web browser is probably not configured to accept cookies.
The instructions for enabling cookies are different in every web
browser, so consult the documentation supplied with your browser. For
Internet Explorer the process is as follows:
- In Internet Explorer, click Internet Options from the Tools menu (or the View menu in Internet Explorer version 4.x).
- In Internet Explorer 5, click the Security tab, and then click Custom Level. Click Enable under Allow cookies that are stored on your computer.
In Internet Explorer 4.x, click the Advanced tab, and then click Always Accept Cookies.
- Click OK until you return to Internet Explorer and try again.
